Apparently my niece was painting rocks at school for an art project and thought that Sanada-Sama could use some decorations, too. 

...

I just hope it will come clean with enough scrubbing. 

Clearly another reason to move out. I need to protect the family rock from artistic children who do not yet know the importance of Sanada-sama's legacy.

Art should be a little constrained.

I'm going to paint on the other side of the family rock. A landscape would be appropriate I think. I hope your niece doesn't mind sharing the canvas.
