Pool Safety

A few people have told me they can't swim so I'm sure there are more people on base who aren't confident in their swimming skills. 

Since this seems a ridiculous survival skill to not have, I will be happy to offer water safety and swimming basic instructions on Tuesday and Thursday between 7-8pm. It would start after the expedition leaves. If you are interested, let me know. 

And remember, if you don't know how to swim, don't go to the pool on your own. I don't want it closed because someone died in it.

I learned in school. I used to take my brothers to the pool a lot in summer, too.

And for the record, just because I'm not athletic now doesn't mean I didn't used to be.

Swim is a verb so you use well.

Good and well have the same meaning. One is used with nouns the other is with verbs.

I promise that it's real. The rules are ridiculous but we still have to follow them.

It would have to be agreed upon by numerous language bodies and then forced upon the population. Typically language changes naturally through use and that's what led us to what we have now... well, that and the printing press and other things.
