Pool Safety

A few people have told me they can't swim so I'm sure there are more people on base who aren't confident in their swimming skills. 

Since this seems a ridiculous survival skill to not have, I will be happy to offer water safety and swimming basic instructions on Tuesday and Thursday between 7-8pm. It would start after the expedition leaves. If you are interested, let me know. 

And remember, if you don't know how to swim, don't go to the pool on your own. I don't want it closed because someone died in it.

I have been told that written words can be confusing for people to interpret. So let me clarify, I am just concerned for those that don't have water safety skills as I see them as essential survival skills and I am well versed in drowning statistics and lead causes of incidents. I have some experience teaching others how to swim and thought to offer my help to others.

Also, for you specifically, should I not care about Kirihara's well-being?

Cool! I appreciate that. You're a good guy for offering your skills. The part I didn't appreciate was where you jumped right to 'what if Marui is fucking around with his camera instead of responsibly watching the guy who can't swim' instead of, I don't know, finding any other reason for Akaya to learn to swim. You do get how that's insulting, right?

There's no reason why something like that couldn't happen statistically.

And aren't tuber people supposed to have thick skin because they get comments from angry people?

Okay. So if I said that Akaya should learn to swim because you might accidentally let him drown while you're busy teaching other students, that's fine cause it's the same thing you said to me, it's statistically possible, and the end goal is to get Akaya to learn to swim? Genuine question, not sarcastic.

I plan to have the deep end roped off for the first few lessons, but as Kirihara is mischievous, I will accept the possibility. It is why I said I would have to stay focused and keep my full attention on my students. If there is a large number who wish to learn, it could be very easy to lose track of one.

Okaaay. Well, I think I learned something here, and that's that your thought processes aren't normal. Still kinda frustrating that you're blind to the fact that you act like a jackass, but oh well, I'll live.

I don't see how they aren't normal. I cleared all of the required psych evaluations.

Your brain is fine, you just lack social skills. It'd matter less if we weren't gonna be locked up here with the same 150 people for the next five years, but it is what it is.
