Congratulations, Renji, on your well deserved promotion.

Sub Lt Sanada and Sub Lt Yanagi have a nice ring to it. The promotion was well overdue. The lesson here is do not change posts months before a promotion is guaranteed or you'll have to wait nearly a year for the next opportunity.

Now that the baths are complete, engineering is again focusing on upgrades. A list has already been started but if there's anything you think we should add, please let us know.

Also, I hope everyone is enjoying the design and tiling of the baths. They were inspired by classic onsen and retro bath houses in Japan. It took a team of us numerous hours to finish it all. Though it was certainly a good way to teach some of the engineers new skills and qualifications.

OK, so my problem is that I don't sleep very well around other people, obviously not a great thing when we're going to be stuck out on expedition for 2 weeks in a group of 6.

And I dealt with it very badly in the first expedition, but I slept OK because Hiyoshi kept bullying me and I ended up being OK sleeping around him. And since you're the only person on this expedition that I actually like and somewhat trust... can I:

a) sleep with you one night before we go to see if this will actually work, and
b) ... cuddle up with you for the two weeks?

You are a man of many weird quirks.

If you want to sleep in my room, I'm going to have to ask my roommate. If we're doing this in your loft, you will supply clean bedding.

How cuddled is cuddled up?

Cuddled up as in... I will sleep on my side and curl up into a ball next to you and use my own pillow, but I may also go heat-source seeking in my sleep to help my circulation and end up accidentally touching.
